US Open - New York 🇺🇸 Phase: Main Draw Risk: 🔴 Super High Risk Pick: 🇬🇧 C. Norrie @ 67c Reason: Van Assche has become a little overrated since his Estoril title. Once he steps back up to ATP hardcourt level, he has struggled against players who can dictate with serve +1 and power, while his own game is built around grinding and counterpunching. He did win the Quebec Challenger, but Norrie is a completely different level of grinder. The H2H stands at 3-1 for Norrie, with Van Assche’s only win coming at an Indoor Challenger in France. At ATP level, it’s hard to see what patterns Van Assche can use to consistently hurt Norrie, who's basically a stronger version of the same type of player with the added advantage of being a lefty. Norrie has also reached at least R3 in each of his last three US Open appearances. *Bet responsibly.
